LAKE

This is the final installation for my work last year. It's a piece about connection, secrecy and love. The two characters facing each other are representative of myself and my mother, they wear masks to conceal Identity and to enable the audience to project onto them. the box contains letters written to mother, things that are difficult to express without causing pain. the sheet is the connection between us, it is also part of the costume worn in the photographs. the face behind the sheet is a cast of my mothers face. the piece is called 'To Mum'.
